My responsibilities

I’ve been with Wanderu since the beginning of 2017. Since then, i've helped lead initiatives to help improve the user experience on both iOS and Android. Projects include user accounts, filters, my trips, referrals, and many more. Through these implementations our app store rating increased from 4.5 to 4.9 stars. I was responsible for:

  • Competitive analysis

  • Wireframing & prototyping

  • Usability testing

  • User interviews

  • UX/UI design

Homescreen

We recently updated our homescreen by spicing up the visual design and improved the reachability of search bar. As devices have become taller it was important that our users can interact with our app single-handedly

Search results

From sorting, filtering and the search cards, we built the search experience from the ground up after rigorous usability testing. We focused on making cards scannable and simple to read.

Filters

We added the ability to filter by time, travel mode, carrier, stations and more. Aside from giving users their most requested filtering options, we also designed filters in a way to prevent users from landing on empty states.

My trips

My trips is a feature that allows users to access their tickets offline and enables them to board their bus & train trips via mobile devices. As designers its important to think of the entire user journey, from the moment a user searches on google til the customer arrives to their destination.

Referrals

In order to diversify acquisition we built our own referral program. Users can share their unique sign up link with their friends and earn points for each referral. After enough points users can earn free trips.
